Details of Role:

Hillfields Family & Community Trust  (HFCT) are delivering a residential community led housing project on a small site in the Hillfields area of Bristol. Although small in scale, this is an ambitious project, with aims to exemplify what is possible when the right people come together, driven by local need whilst simultaneously responding to the much wider national conversations around housing, empowerment, inclusion and sustainability.

Community Led Housing projects depend on participation, and HFCT are recruiting a strong steering committee to act as ‘critical friend’ to the project team and trustees. The committee will meet monthly to inform crucial decision making, shape strategy and evaluate progress, budgets and quality. It is important that – as a group – we have a range of skills, perspectives, experiences and temperaments that allow it to reach the best possible decisions.

This role will be hugely rewarding, working with the views and needs of the local community as well as collaborating with stakeholders across the city to enable maximum beneficial impact.

As a Steering Committee Volunteer you will have the opportunity to use your knowledge and expertise to make a difference for local people, your Community, City and Sector. You will also have the chance to meet new and inspiring people.
